an Appropriate Easter Update

OKAY.

after a string of phone calls made and received from the woods of Kentucky, everything got straightened out and made sense.

apparantly a few weeks ago my mom had seen my dad at one of Caryn's concerts and they talked. dad asked about the Virginia trip, and mom told him it was canceled due to some cancer-related surgery she was going to have soon. dad thought that meant mom had cancer again, and somewhere along the lines chemo and radiation worked themselves into the story, and then dad talked to christy's parents at CATC. christy overheard and became mighty anxious to have a heart-to-heart with me, springing the news that my mom had cancer on me unexpectedly. i got mad no one had told me such an important news item and called adam and caryn to see what they knew--which was nothing. adam asked dad about it, who seemed surprised we didn't know, and told him what he thought he knew. adam got mad too and went to mom's on saturday to angrily confront her with this discovery. adam found out what was really going on. and then mom called me on my cell phone in the middle of the kentucky wilderness. and everything got figured out.

so she DOES NOT have cancer again. she's having surgery to fix some complications that have arisen from the original surgery (which took place when i was in high school). so yes, it's cancer-related, but no, it's not cancer.

thank you all a million for your prayers. God is awesome.

an Excellent Easter.
