i went to "The Show" today. joe came down yesterday, and then came back down today for "The Show." Carmel Community Players is currently putting on Fiddler on the Roof out at University High School (some richy carmel private school for richy carmel private kids). it was aight. not necessarily the best CCP show i've ever seen....but not the worst. and that's how i feel about that.
then afterwards all the crevistons and joe rushed home because dad threw a cast party. i dont really dig those things, i always feel like a stranger in my own home when it's overrun with dramatic people. especially since everyone else is all buddy-buddy and they just kind of look at me like they wonder who i think i am and what i think i'm doing there. some people actually know i live there. but i'm related to all those people, so i dont think they count.
so an hour or so into the par-tay joe and i ditched and went and saw I, Robot. it was purty cool. some real good funny parts stuck in there. sweet action.

it's kind of weird. i havent yet realized that school's about to start again. and i'm finally getting used to my current situation....though that's about to change since i'm going back to mom's again well....tomorrow, i guess. stink. my life just feels kind of shaken up. i dont really know what i want now. it started when pastor tom so lovingly kicked me off the missions team because he's disorganized and can't remember important conversations we had, so i got to pay the brunt of his stupidity. and then there's just been weird stuff going on with weird people, and the past is starting to resurface, and it's all got me thinking.
i guess i cant wait til i get back to IWU with mere and digs and "The Gang" so that i can get my perspective on stuff back.

speaking of changing the subject, i bought some fun toys at target last night. i got the ashlee simpson cd. *gasp!* i know, i know. the stigma almost drowns me. but i deal. i've just spent a few hours of boredom in front of the telly this summer and grown acquainted with jessica's and ashlee's mtv shows and have actually been quite amused by their antics and shenanigans. (side-note: i should open an irish pub and name it "Shenanigan's") and i actually liked the musical blurbs they work into every show of ashlee's. so i bought the cd.
and i counteracted it by buying a modest mouse cd as well. i didnt know they were so mainstream now! this is what comes from not buying any new cd's for three years, and stopping all radio patronage. and in the past week i've bought three cds: ashlee, modest mouse, and FINCH. i love my finch. i'm obsessed.
i also got So I Married an Axe Murderer on dvd. sarah dignal, eat your heart out. we were at walmart and she saw the last copy of it on VHS for $3.99 and ganked it before i could read the title and get it for myself. i think we almost brawled over it. but God had a Plan. and i got the better Plan, nyah nyah. digitally reenhanced for my viewing pleasure!
and then i bought a monkey for meredith's monkey. i enjoy the concept of that. it's so dharma and greg. yes, i bought her monkey a monkey.
to some people, i'm sure that sounds dirty. i may be some people.
