unlike some local college students that i am acquainted with (*ahem*dignal*ahem*), i have been enjoying the cold front in indiana during the past week or so. i think its been quite pleasant.
my favorite part is at night. i've gotten in the habit of leaving my window open all night, and since my bed is right in front of it, i feel like i'm sleeping outside. i even switched which end my head was on in order to fully enjoy the experience. there's a giagantic tulip tree right outside the window, and i have a limited view of the front yard and some of the sidewalk and street beyond that. its fun to listen to the leaves whispering, and watch people walk past, and see the cars drive by. and when it gets dark, it also gets very chilly. then i curl up in my mexico blanket and and listen to all the crickets chirping. well, them and the tv. of course i'm watching tv.
but yeah, i like it. it feels like camping with all the comforts of home. i'm chilly and i hear bugs and there's a breeze, just like camping, but at the same time i've got a tv, mattress, pillows, drinks, etc. so great.
and the other night i even got to listen in on a cat fight going on somewhere in the neighborhood. there was a lot of screeching and growling....man, it sounded intense. i was pretty glad i was inside with my cats. my lazy, scared of the outside world cats. yay.
