saw calibretto at taylor on friday night, that was fun...shad&christy and vic&pam were there for most of it, but left coz christy needed to get back to carmel and they all came in the same car. then after the concert i went back to joe's for a bit and then, you know, kind of wanted to leave and go back to IWU. HA. like THAT could happen. so it was super duper cold and of course i'd forgotten a coat, duh. but yeah, so joe and i went outside to warm up my wonderful lovely car, and we were sitting in it while it was running to warm up the engine. all of the sudden i notice that the inside lights are real dim. i thought maybe i'd accidently turned them down, so i tried to turn them back up but that wasnt the problem. and when i did that, they all started flickering like mad, even the headlights. so joe turned off the engine and tried to restart it, and it wouldnt start! the lights came back on, but it just made a clicking noise. ug. so yeah, instead of sleeping in the bathtub at joe's, he drove me home at 1:30 am in his truck (that starts). and apparantly the car still doesnt want to start up good enough that it can be driven anywhere besides up the street.
and my computer is going NUTS. HATRED FOR COMPUTER.
but i had something good happen this weekend--i got tons of hours in for my practicum--ELEVEN!!! and that doesnt even count eating brunch at vic's. coz i dont know if i can count that or not. owell. but yeah, tara and richelle schenck and i went to church at hartford city wesleyan at 9:30 for sunday school, and then to the service. it was youth sunday, so i dont think it was typical of the church at all. but it was really cool and fun. it was great to see the kids taking such ownership and showing pride and a true desire to be involved in the church body. after church i went to vics to be made fun of and to make fun of him back :D thats just how hanging out with vic is.....then to joes to fall asleep on the couch for a couple hours, and then we got up and went to The Armory (yeah, dont ask, its all military so dont ask, i dont know exactly what it is)(it has real bad acoustics, though) for a Super Bowl Party. ~~did anyone else feel that for most of the game, the Raiders played like it was rigged? hmmm~~ that was nuts. there were tons of kids, not just from Hartford City Wesleyan youth, but also the area's Youth For Christ and i think maybe just neighborhood kids. good golly gee, most of those kids are evil obnoxious little punks. our kids were pretty well-behaved, especially for them, but the rest.....sheesh. i wanted to smack them all up and down the gym. there was a group of a bout 10 of them that were plain rancid. they came in the tv room and sat in a clump in the very back corner behind me, out of my vision but within me and joe's hearing. i could hear the main guy, corey, talking about giving some redhead chick wedgies and stuff, and i could swear i heard him say something about tits and i know i heard all of them cussing, and then joe asked if they were talking about giving the girl "titty twisters" and i was like, "heck yes, thats what it is." so i kept my eye one them, turning my chair so i could see them all and hear better. at one point the guy said something again and the chick was all giggly and holding herself so no one could molest her (though she was probly enjoying it all) so i sat there and stared real hard and obvious til they all noticed and then it got quieter and they stopped mostly, since that weird girl was staring at them. it was pretty funny. at first corey thought i'd just glanced over there, and he looked away and then he looked back to see if i was still watching, yep i was, he looked away, and it repeated til i locked eyes with him. it was fun ;) stupid punks. and joe went and told shad and some other adults what all was going down back there so they paid attention too. and during halftime joe rearranged the room a bit so that they couldnt hide back there anymore. plus, i sat in the middle of where they'd been before, so it was no fun anymore. mua hahahaha.
and tara's powers of observation failed her! it was quite refreshing!
i think my work here is done.
