an update for Mrs. D et al

well, i did it! i'm all moved out and all moved in, with a few dramatic (at the time) mishaps.

why did i have to move? among other things:

*rent was going up and i lost a roommate, therefore was unable to afford that apartment

*tired of the little things like walking through ankle-deep water between the parking area and my apartment whenever it rained, or baby spider invasions

*wanted to escape the evil police officer who stalks about the neighborhood in his squad car. didn't like that he (and apparantly the office as well) feels it is acceptable to storm into people's living rooms based on unresearched anonymous tips and arrest people's boyfriends and cart them off to jail for the weekend. also didn't like how he stalked us--would pull over anyone he thought might be visiting me and threaten to arrest them for trespassing and command them to leave the premises, or slowly drive around my carport in circles as i parked and got out of the car late at night. i did some research on the internet and discovered he's stalked other residents in the neighborhood. fun times.

anywho, i didn't move too far away -- just deeper into indianapolis than i've ventured thus far. i'm at 65th and keystone. it's about a 15-20 minute drive to work/fishers, depending on traffic and time of day. why move out to 46220? i managed to find a nice two bedroom/1 bathroom apartment for at least $50 less than any one bedroom apartment in hamilton county. holy cow.

well. that's all for now, mainly because my computer setup is rather jank at present...i'm sitting on the floor with the keyboard in my lap and the moniter on some boxes. i haven't managed to get any boys to move my desk to the computer location, yet i did manage to get the comcast guy to setup service almost immediately. i called to inquire about prices at 9:30 p.m. and not only found a great deal (that just got greater as the process proceeded), but was told he was in my neighborhood finishing another installation and would come right over. installation ended up being free when he spotted my old satellite boxes and said i could trade them in. saweet!

Ooh. Nice sidebar picture.

Since you live in the city do you now only listen to rap music? Just curious.

dag, yo.

actually, yes i have added rap to my musical preferences. it wasn't by choice. it's been forced on me these past 2 years all day every day, and i've grown used to it and actually find myself enjoying the latest hip hop hits.

but fear not, i still love all MY music.
