looking back, my San Diego (Sandy Eggo) vacation is all the more treasured now that i'm home and nothing is going right. let's see, let's see....as soon as i stepped off the plane i found out my car was making crazy insane noises that couldn't have been anything good. i went to work to discover that the menu had changed (as in many new products available, and i know nothing about them, and no one will explain them to me), the entire price chart had changed, around ten new employees had been hired (that's a LOT), everyone was angry and stressed and i'm still not sure why, and a lot of store policies have changed and i'm not sure what they all are because i missed a couple of manager meetings. and then my favorite driver quit. arrrrrrrrg.
after a couple of discussions with my father about cars, finances, and my options, it was decided that i should break up with my ponticrap. saturday morning we headed for 96th and keystone to check out Dealership Row (i made that up just now) and see what they had to offer in the 3k range. pretty much nothing. most everything was owned by tom wood and they didn't impress me...not very knowledgeable about their low-priced cars, what was offered on the internet, and they just seemed in it for the buck. we also tried the honda place, and the guy we talked to was very helpful and honest. basically either way though we have to wait until monday and find out what they've gotten over the weekend in trade-ins. or wait til wednesday for a tent sale.
so then i went to pick up scott from work in my piece o' poo car. i made it there. i made it out of the parking lot. i made it onto shadeland. i made it three buildings past boston market.
and then it died. stupid car.
scott pushed it off the road (with the help of a nice man who stopped traffic to get out and aid us). he then pushed it most of the way to boston market by himself (i started to help at the end, and then someone in the BM parking lot came over and helped the rest of the way while i steered). we left it there and one of scott's friends that lived nearby came to pick us up and give me a ride to work. ironically, he was driving a '96 pontiac grand am, which is exactly what just died on me. we compared stories about car problems and discovered we've had the exact same costly repairs.
so now i have to buy a new car with no money.
moral of the story is don't buy a ponticrap.

All of us agree that you should not buy Anthony's car if he should offer.
Steve thinks you should try to find a little old couple who has driven their Buick Century to church and back. We love you and are praying for you. The WCP and the Dignalparents
