I brought her home, a wee little ball of baby fuzz. She was cute, with sad eyes. Jezebel hated her, and immediately stopped being in heat because she was too concerned with the newcomer to think about her libido. (Goal achieved) Jezebel didn't even talk to me for two days. She got over it -- mostly.

dallas went from fuzzball to chubsy in six months. jezebel being a skinny witch doesn't help my perspective i'm sure, but dallas seemed big for a six-month old. she didn't really grow much more between six and twelve months, however. her fur went from feeling like fuzz to feeling like rabbit fur. i love it. it's so soft and silky. she could so be my favorite cat.
personality-wise, dallas started out uber-spastic. well, on a scale of lap-kitty to barks and farts audibly, dallas ranked rather high as far as cat weirdness went. (and yes, i've had a cat that barked and farted audibly. great times.) she would be normal and purry and then all of the sudden spazz out and run into walls at top speed. among other things.
then i moved to a new apartment. dallas's personality started to change at that point, but not too noticeably. within a month of moving we obtained a new kitten, niner (she's a demanding little calico brat). while dallas and niner are mostly friends and play together frequently (occasionally dallas bathes niner's face til niner swats her), dallas i think harbors some resentment towards not being the youngest anymore. she won't let you touch her often anymore, and definately not in front of other humans. i miss cuddling with her. stupid cat. now she's a scaredy cat.
she went into heat a few months ago. she doesn't really ever meow, though. she just kind of squeaks a lot. sometimes it's cute. she's gettin fixed and declawed in about a month, though! all three at once!

She did get big!
There are at this moment two(2) new crops of kitten here at the ranch. First momma cat had some, which I did not expect because I thought she was too old, then Dallas' sister 'scratchy' (we are bad at naming) did, which I did not expect because I thought she was too young.
Also I have noticed that I am a label. splendid.
