i'm finally back home.
i went to see caryn (and deliver some stuff to her) and also pay a little visit to karissa/josiah/heather in anderson, indiana last night.
and then my car overheated.
we bought coolant, followed the directions, gave it a little test-run, and the engine temp still skyrocketed. i ended up spending the night at the southworths (how great is that? we can call them the southworths!)(by the way, the southworths -- thank you for your help & hospitality, you're amazing) and waking up this morning to go to IHOP to meet my dad at my car. dad filled the radiator with water & we chanced it and headed down 69. i nervously watched the enginge temp climb, praying the whole time. God must've been feeling generous because it reached the halfway mark (already twice what it normally runs at) and stuck there the rest of the way. there were some occasional violent shakes, but i made it. after a couple of phone calls during the drive it was determined that the car is being taken to miller auto care and i'm borrowing the old ford windstar from my mom. i'll have to go back a couple of afternoons to take her places, but it's workable.
i'm tired, i'm dirty, i still haven't eaten anything today.
