OMG

i spent a few hours in the art building today. i lugged kwok's sewing machine down from the weaving room to the photo lab and set it up on the back half of the TA desk so that i could socialize while i quilted. meredith and i had fun.

one guy passing through complimented me on my color selection for my quilt. i think he dubbed it "retro contemporary."

aaron pratt asked me if i was making him a quilt. i was caught off-guard and didn't know what to say, so i said "yes." but i was lying. *sigh*

after mere put in her TA time, we decided it would behoove us to attend tonight's University Singers concert in the PPAC. and so we did. we arrived just around the time it would begin, and as we entered the building (from jon's favorite door) i remarked that it would be so great (sarcasm) if as we got there we ran into the entire choir making their entrance. walking down that first side hallway we could see the hallway in the back of the stage, and it was empty. *sighs of relief*

then we turned the corner, and the first person we saw was jon. standing in a long line of choir members waiting to make their big entrance. (oh crap, that was totally a sentence fragment. but i was just using it for effect, i promise.) so we hid in a doorway to wait them out, and gave everyone we knew huge smiles and big thumbs up as they went in. one guy sneered at us. it wasn't just any sneer, it was a mean, immature, snobbish sneer. it still rankles.

and then when went inside and got culturated. yay. it was fun and enjoyable, but too long to write about.

then back home for some time wasting before heading to the SC for the spanish club's "Nacho Noche" in the sun room...which we aborted before entering because we realized none of our spanish club buddies were there, it cost a dollar, and the whole idea of going in anyway was weird. they were all mingled already.

so we went to fat meal instead. and i ate a plate of bacon. and some guy behind meredith really missed seventh grade. and justin, michael, aaron, and john amused us for awhile.

and then we came home. and i watch "My Best Friend's Wedding." and then i got bored. ate some cookies (thanks Karissa and Josiah). and wanted to watch another movie. so i watched "Taking One Child To Heart" (the compassion international video). then i ironed quilt parts for an hour. then i wasted more time. then it was 4:30 am and meredith and i went to bed. (mere was working on portfolio/paper/etc stuff this whole time.)

and some fun to leave you with:

MASH

8-BALL

I heard you watching my best friend's wedding. I was on the couch doing homework and listening to your movie at the same time. I was trying to figure out what it was. When I heard them singing that one song, I instantly knew. Then I thought of that movie and started laughing at the funny parts.
