sup, dawgs.
so i've got so far behind on my senior year daily updates that i think maybe its impossible to come back from it....i think its gone the way of the dinosaur. i'm sorry.
so i had a purple mouse in my closet for awhile, a big secret from meredith (who's severely rodentophobic), coz it got kicked out in a most vicious sense from dignal's house. then i got tim the austrian to pretend to be in love with meredith and take her on a romantic star gazing stroll while carl and i smuggled the mouse and its belongings into his car. but then meredith was so freaked out and knew something was up from the way tim was behaving that i had to tell her the truth....i told her it wasnt what she was expecting at all......that we'd had a pet mouse in my closet for a few days. it wasn't the cleanest of moments for her mouth. but i think she's going to be okay. luckily she's going home with tim and katie this xmas break to vienna, where tim's dad is a pastor, and we think he's going to save her soul from total destruction. did you know she eats buddhist cereal? seriously, the word "zen" is in the name of it. crazy crap.
so i got up today, took a shower, and then chugged on down to carmel and voted. it was pretty cool coz i got to st. elizabeth seton's (big huge ol' catholic church 2 minutes from my house) and there was a stoidgly huge long line (looked like a 2 hour wait) and the old woman behind me (who reminded me of the rich lady from gilligan's island--mrs. thurston?) kept asking questions and finally pulled some other woman leaving aside and asked how long it was and we discovered that the Kingswood people had their own special table and got to skip to the front of the line....i live in woodcreek which blends into kingswood at points, so i headed up there and found out that sure enough, i had a special precinct that didnt have to wait in long lines! God bless Carmel and its rich snobbery!
oh, and straight republican. and since i wasnt up on the amendment issues i didnt vote on thems.
then i stopped at mom's for a little bit and some cats sat on me while i watched texas justice with my mom. there was a skinny old black lady with a huge tude....the kind that sticks her hand in your face while she rotates her head around saying "mmmmhmmmm whateva" often. it was funny.
then i came back to IWU in time for my bio lab. we got out early coz im in the wicked cool lab with only 5 people, and we looked at all our tissue slides super fast and drew pictures of them. so i stopped at wildcat for some dinner, and came back. and then i got hurted.
my right knee has been bothering me for over a month now....it's just been painful off and on, usually right after it's been bent. well yesterday the pain factor went up significantly, and it's been about the same all day today. it wouldnt hurt when it was bent, but as soon as it became unbent there was a pretty sharp pain, the rest of the time it was just a dull ache. as soon as i got back from wildcat i was in my kitchen and i took a step and i almost fell down because all of the sudden it just killed like none other.......and its been that bad ever since. i can barely walk. what was a slight occasional limp has now become extremely pronounced and i dont know what i'm going to do.....get crutches? become an amputee? so i'm considering my choices here.....and the emergency room is actually sounding pretty feasible, if only just to find out what the heck is wrong with me. it could be something as simple as a pinched nerve or whatever that's bothering me bigtime. but see, i dont know these things and it sounds like a good idea to let a professional tell me what's what.
i'll just have to call dad to see what monetary and insurance crap i'll have to deal with and if its even worth the trouble, and then find a friend, or maybe joe, that has time on their hands and wont mind the excursion. we'll see what happens.
